Sixteen faculty members and five alumni of Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (BNUT) are among the top-cited 2% of scientists in the world in 2022

According to this ranking, which was published in September 2022 in PLOS Elsevier magazine (https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/4?fbclid=IwAR0Y0LhUicOFFqr7t4ykHxVy-N_YLLIbnghWdtHTxBDI5tOrGrKrCyrAjK0), almost 1700 scientists from Iran are among the top-cited scientists in the world in 22 scientific disciplines and 176 sub-disciplines were included, in which the names of sixteen faculty members of BNUT can be seen as follows:

3- Qasem Najafpour Darzi

4- Mostafa Rahimnejad
5- Ruhollah Jamaati
6- Mohsen Jahanshahi
7- Majid Piravi

8- Mustafa Lashkarbloki
9- Ali Akbar Ranjbar

10-Mofid Gorji bandpy

11- Ali Akbar Abdus

12- Amir Modarres
13- Hamed Jamshidi Aval
14- Ataullah Ebrahimzadeh

15-Mahmod rabee
16- Jafar Adabi

Also 5 alumni of BNUT, Khashayar Hosseinzadeh, Mostafa Barzegar Gerderodbary, Mohammad Vaezi, M. Gholinia and Soheil Mousavi Ajarostaghi were also among the top-cited 2% of world scientists in 2022.

It is worth mentioning that this study, which used Scopus citation data in 2021, classified scientists into 5 main subject areas and based on standardized information on citations (citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and c-score), and the condition for researchers to enter the ranking process was the publication of at least 5 articles, and a total of approximately 200,000 scientists were studied and evaluated.
