Welcome to Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (BNUT). We are a coeducational university uniquely located right at the heart of Babol, Iran. Babol is one of the most beautiful cities of Mazandaran Province which is located along the southern coast of the Caspian Sea and in the adjacent Central Alborz mountain range, in central-northern Iran.
The university was established in 1970 by a great benevolent and honorable man and one of the greatest philanthropists of Iran, Late Seyed Hossein Fallah Noshirvani. The university now has 6 Faculties: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Materials and Industrial Engineering, and also Basic sciences. Moreover, there are 13 research centers in our University.
According to Times Higher Education World University Rankings in 2016, Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (BNUT) has been ranked as the 1st university in the country.

Our strategic plan for future is to Make a Difference through Excellence in Research, Professional Education, and International Collaborations, which is a continuation of the successful path, and an extension of the high-level aspirations, defined in our Strategic Plan for future. It establishes a set of action plans around the strategic themes that further elevate the academic excellence, international standing, and societal contribution of BNUT as a leading technical university renowned in the country and the world over for its problem-based research and professional education.
