Babol Noshirvani University of Technology Achieves Second Place in “Environmental Sustainability” among Iranian Universities in QS Rankings

In the most recent QS Sustainability Rankings, Babol Noshirvani University of Technology secured second place nationwide in the “Environmental Sustainability” indicator, just behind Sharif University of Technology and well ahead of other Iranian institutions.
This achievement is largely attributed to the launch of the Sustainable Development website, initiated by the Office of Scientific Collaborations and International Affairs. The platform consolidates all environmental initiatives, including renewable energy production, policy frameworks, and student-led activities, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the university’s performance in this category.
Furthermore, the university’s commitment to transparency—demonstrated through its annual greenhouse gas protocol reporting, comprehensive carbon footprint assessments, and the publication of related data on its sustainability portal— has significantly contributed to its elevated ranking.
