Virtual Meeting Held Between the Office of Scientific Collaborations and International Affairs of Babol Noshirvani University of Technology and Almalyk State Technical Institute

As part of its commitment to strengthening international academic cooperation and in response to the recent “Iran–Uzbekistan Joint International Call for Proposals” announced by the Iran National Science Foundation, the Office of Scientific Collaborations and International Affairs at Babol Noshirvani University of Technology has initiated negotiations with several state universities in Uzbekistan to establish formal partnerships.

In accordance with these objectives, a virtual meeting was held on Monday, December 29, 2025 between the Office of Scientific Collaborations and International Affairs of Babol Noshirvani University of Technology and the Vice Presidency for International Affairs of the Almalyk State Technical Institute, Uzbekistan.

The session focused on exploring prospective avenues of academic and research cooperation. The Uzbek side presented a portfolio of proposed project titles, which will be assessed in relation to the institutional capacities and disciplinary expertise of Babol Noshirvani University of Technology, to ensure alignment and to facilitate the commencement of joint initiatives.

The main areas of cooperation, in accordance with the call issued by the Iran National Science Foundation, have been defined in the fields of environmental sciences and materials science. These domains are expected to serve as a catalyst for expanding scientific interactions and enhancing the international standing of the university.
